Vox Evangelica (VE) was an evangelical theological journal published by London Bible College (later London School of Theology) between 1962 and 1997. Intended to promote biblical scholarship in the United Kingdom it provided a showcase for articles by the College's faculty. From 1971 onwards it regularly included a lecture by a well-known biblical scholar, a series known as the Laing Lectures.[1] Following the positive response to the first issue[2], edited by Ralph P. Martin, publication began on annual or biennial (between 1965 and 1983) basis until 1997 when London Bible College Principal Derek J. Tidball wrote:
Academic journals have proliferated since 1962. Evangelical scholarship now has many journals to represent it, and has taken its place alongside others in a way which was not possible then. It is chiefly for these reasons that it has been decided to discontinue the publication of Vox Evangelica.[3]
